Putnam County Rod and Gun Club

The Putnam County Rod & Gun Club was established in 1965 for the purpose of conserving the natural resources of Putnam County, Tennessee and these United States for present and future generations, and to prevent depletion and exploitation of natural resources, including forest, soil, water, game, and fish. The club strives to practice and promote a code of ethics in sportsmanship acceptable to the citizens of Putnam County, Tennessee and these United States, and to improve and promote the relationship between anglers, hunters, farmers, and land owners. Putnam County Rod & Gun Club cooperates with and supports all State and Federal agencies that present and/or promote progress that are in keeping with the by-laws and constitution of the club. Members are encouraged to assist in observation and enforcement of the State and Federal game and fish laws. In March 2008, the membership voted to become an NRA affiliate club and support the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
